Last month the materials for our deck replacement arrived on site.
Our site manager Dave is leading this work and several members lending support as labourers - if anyone else is interested in helping for any amount of time we'd welcome your assistance. One hour or a whole day, it all helps.
Much of the original messmate timber can give a bit more service before it completely degrades. Several helpers have been denailing boards to make them safe and prepare for this. Hundreds and hundreds of nails hammered back through the board, then levered out. Those that are unsuitable have been cut up to fuel the pizza oven, waste not - want not.
The deck is being replaced one half at a time, so the HUB should be available throughout the project - please look any for signage and warnings.
