Our commitee helps steer the direction of the garden, provide guidance around how it should run, makes sure we keep a record of decisions and the bills are paid.
Committee meetings are the second Tuesday of the month and all members are invited to attend if there are issues they'd like to raise or just to see how it runs.
If you have any suggestions or ideas, you can get in contact with any of our committee members.
Rob Porter - convenor
Loves to grow: Murnong and other native edibles
"Our garden is an activity-rich environment with an amazing diversity of people. For me, some of those are gardening, construction and repair, helping our community and members using administrative skills developed over a long career, and community education."
Courtney Mathew - deputy convenor
Loves to grow: Garlic, tomatoes and lots of flowers
"I've been experimenting with a wider variety of plants and ways to preserve the harvest, inspired by others in the garden. I don't have a lot of spare time during the week, so on the committee I get to contribute and help other people do amazing things."
Sabine Schreiber - secretary
Loves to grow: Natives and food
"I'm passionate about nature, water, growing things and being with people who share my values. I love that I can contribute even if I can't be at the garden a lot - people smile, share a story, their knowledge and make me feel it's ok to give what I can."
Dave Baker - treasurer
Loves to grow: our bank balance!
"I joined because it's a wonderful space to enjoy nature, recharge, be in the company of and learn from like-minded folks."
Christine Morriss - Chook Crew coordinator
Loves to grow: Vegetables and flowers including roses
"I got involved because of the production of spray-free fruit and vegetables and availability of plots to grow my own vegetables."
Geoff Rollinson
Loves to grow: A wide range of seasonal veg, especially from saved seed
"The garden has a variety of spaces and activities to draw like-minded people together. Our shared interests and face-to-face conversations build and maintain friendships."
Sue McCallum
Loves to grow: Traditional veg, cabbage, cauliflower
"I joined to become more self-sufficient. I like working together and helping others to grow this way."
Gilles Gunderman
Loves to grow: Lots of garlic and purple beans
"The garden is such a wonderful place to be and to work with lots of friendly people and beautiful initiatives. I hope to make a small positive impact in the running of it."
